Bernardo Martinez Sr. is awarded the prestigious Best In Show trophy at the Alfa Romeo National Concours d’Elegance which was held on the grounds of the Meadowbrook Hall in Rochester Hills, Michigan.

The Martinez car, a 1965 Alfa Romeo GTA, was restored and is maintained by Roman Auto Prep.  Roman Tucker of Roman Auto prep comments on the win…  "I’m honored - and very appreciative - of this Best In Show win and I know Bernardo is ecstatic.  Bernardo’s commitment to restore this car correctly was key.  He insisted on accuracy and I think it’s safe to say that we gave it to him.  We won our class at Amelia Island in 2005 and now we have won here too.  These wins make the hardships associated  with a restoration of this scope worthwhile."

Roman Auto Prep also had a presence at the Alfa Romeo Nationals track event. Held at Waterford Hills Race Track in Waterford, Michigan.  Roman Tucker: ….  "We wanted to support the Alfa Romeo Owners Club and their National Event including the track event.  Unfortunately Waterford Hills Race Track has a exhaust db limit and our Vintage Racing cars will not meet that db requirement.  I had conversations with my customers and they all agreed that we would exhibit the cars at the track and during the lunch hour drive them at greatly reduced speeds.  Based on the feedback from those attending I feel it was a success…"
